We have arrived in Rochester! We had to drive about 45 miles through snow covered roads and low visibility South of Watertown, but other than that the weather held out long enough for us to make it to Emily's parents. My whole family made it home for Christmas and a good time was had by all. We all truly enjoyed this years theme of "Guilt Free, Debt Free and Clutter Free". I'm stuffed on Mom's good cooking; rested, relaxed and ready to start the trip!
I feel my life has never been this organized, everything is sorted and packed with it's own special place. I spent this morning cleaning out the van and packing it up. It still needs a good cleaning but I'll have time in Rochester to finish that up. I never thought my first car would be a minivan, but at least it's got new tires!
We plan to on heading to Buffalo on Sunday to see some friends and head back to Rochester on Monday. Then it's Emily's turn to sort through boxes (I never knew I had that much stuff in my room!). We plan on leaving Rochester on the 7th or 8th to head down to Georgia. I am excited to leave the snow belt and see some sunshine. From Georgia we'll head to St. Augustine to see my Grandparents as well as Bob & Patty...again. Then we'll leave Florida and head up to Richmond for the inauguration. On the 21st we head for the Coast! I think we missed the Gold Rush, but I hope we'll still be prosperous.
Tonight Emily's parents are taking us to a karoke bar in Rochester with some of their friends. I hear Emily and her Mom practicing in the other room. So far they've tried Sonny & Cher, Madonna and Reba McEntire just to name a few. This should be an interesting evening.
This concludes our broadcast day.
